returns once again. >>> it's petline thursday. joining me sherry hamilton from lab rescue. you have a sweet, sweet black lab here. hello. who's this? >> this is reba. she is an absolute sweetheart actually. she's only about a year and a half old. she does have a few extra challenges. she was a stray to the shelter. because of her challenges she wasn't going to get out of there. >> she needs somebody real special because she has a muscular issue. what does that mean for somebody maybe thinking about adopting her? >> we have her on medication. she's doing really good trying to strengthen her muscles. she wasn't getting the exercise and stuff that she had needed previously but she's been in foster care now. >> you seeing some improvement. >> oh, my gosh. she loves to run and play with other dogs. the foster has a cat that she completely loves and has kids, too. she's good with the kids. >> do we think she'll grow out of the issue? >> i don't think she'll ever grow out of it but we can learn to manage it and her muscles are continuing to develop and get stronger every day. she's well on
. farther east along gilroy, area of east of that rain up in the mount hamilton area. snow is still falling. farther north, take a look where the tornadoes touched down. two tornadoes produced. first one touched down 1:30 in the afternoon and hour later a second tornado report. fortunately no reports of damage yet but video to show you of the first funnel cloud as it was touching down. this is one that occurred at 1:30 in the afternoon. there is a lot of dusting but there is no apparent damage occurring. as i said earlier, no reports of injuries. we have had some wild and wacky weather around and near the bay area today. it's not over yet. i'll have a look at seven-day forecast a little later. >> carolyn: thank you. today's storm caused headaches for commuters and did trigger a number of traffic accidents. in santa rosa a woman was injured when her truck overturned this morning. home is investigating what caused crash but weather is believed to be a factor. wayne freedman is live with a look at conditions in san anselmo. >> we didn't have any snow there or no tornadoes. we did have rain thi
hamilton township, new jersey pap school bus accident where some students were hurt. you can see the bus there that is lying on its side in a ditch. essentially the driver apparently tried to swerve to avoid hitting a deer and ended up in the ditch where you see it. we know at least six kids were injured in this accident. we assume that second school bus is transporting some children who were not injured. the bus was headed home from a private school there in the area loaded with fourth through eighth graders. six students injured in the school bus accident in hamilton township, new jersey. we don't know about the condition of the bus driver at this point. but as you might imagine parents are concerned. some rushed to the scene there. six kids with minor injuries in new jersey. that's the latest from the news 4 live desk. i'm aaron gilchrist. >>> he worked to help others but the driver who ran over this 20-year-old man in d.c. never stopped to help him. hear a mother's plea coming up. plus how much access should police have to those private security cameras? it's a debate that may soon b

in sight in the bay area. roberta gonzales made it to the top of mount hamilton in the kpix 5 mobile weather lab. she found several inches on the ground at about 4200 feet above sea level. snow caused problems in the foothills of the sierra. there was a pile-up in tuolumne county. 100 cars and truck spun out of control in one crash on highway 49. another crash involved about 30 cars. and a tornado. >> we are going to have to hop out and lie in the ditch i hope you know that if it comes towards us.
